Dr. Jovito Salonga Center for Law and Development Celebrates Christmas with the Children of Sto. Nino Children’s Home

In the celebration of the season and in the spirit of Christmas, the Dr. Jovito Salonga Center for Law and Development (Salonga Center) spearheaded by Atty. Mikhail Lee Maxino, director, together with the law student-volunteers coming from various law schools in Dumaguete, namely: Negros Oriental State University College of Law, Foundation University College of Law and Jurisprudence, Silliman University College of Law, brought joy and shared humble blessings to the children of Sto. Niño Children’s Home on December 13, 2017.

The Volunteers prepared a program filled with fun games, performances, and gift-givings.The program was made possible through the generosity of Atty. Mikhail Lee Maxino and family, Atty. Gracelyn Bellingan, our very own volunteer-lawyer and Mr. Kevin Bennett who sponsored for the food and gifts of the children. The Children and the volunteers created bond, made friendship, and showcased teamwork during the games. Also present in the program is Atty. Karissa Tolentino and other guests who actively participated in the games.

Sto. Niño Children’s home houses 15 differently-abled children with 9 staffs. It is the yearly tradition of Salonga Center to share blessings to these children, and to give happiness during Christmas season, after all the true spirit of Christmas is to help, to share, and to provide happiness.
