The Dr. Jovito R. Salonga Center for Law and Development provided a free seminar on relevant legal topics last September 20, 2017 at Barangay Tinago, Dumaguete City. Topics included in the lecture were the following: Alternative Dispute Resolution, Katarungang Pambarangay , RA 9262- VAWC, Libel/Defamation, and RA 9165-Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002. Volunteers from Foundation University College of Law and Jurisprudence namely Niñanne Nicole Balbuena, Chad Ian Rubio and Neapolle Fleur Blanco tackled on the Alternative Dispute Resolution. On the other hand, Cristine Joy Jagodilla, Ian Blanco and Myrna Obus from Negros Oriental State University College of Law gave a talk on the basics of Katarungang Pambarangay. Moreover, volunteers Anna Katrina Tan and Ceres Margaret Mangibin explained the RA 9262 – Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC).
